I loved to come sit in the library thank you! Having just come home from work, I would love to sit and have tea, quiet and beauty on which to feast my eyes.
I'll enjoy looking closely at your new collage as well.
Heaven! Thank you Donna.
It's easy to tell that you have a special relationship with objects around you. You collect them, place them in the right places, allow them to create an atmosphere within which you can think, create, wonder.
Makes me relax just to see...
It is never quiet when we are together, friend :) I love the beauty you share and can picture you enjoying the quiet!
aaaaaaaaw.
art IS language.
and a comfort to me
.to each.
.to you.
part of the breath
in the moment,
and memories
carried within.
alone, it becomes an embrace.
with others it tells our stories.
your quiet voice is heard.
thank you for bringing us into your home to view your gorgeous collection. your new pieces are fabulous as always.
a magnificent meditative stroll from one zone of beauty to the next ... I would so enjoy peaking around the corners of the picture plane to see the reveal of the entire view.
thank you so much for the glimpses of serenity that you've created...collage included.
This first piece is just amazing. I adore your collection of little bird cages.
I would adore to come and see the ammonite collection, I have one and I really want more but not much opportunity here.
Such lovely calm uncluttered space with wonderful things to look at.
Thank you for allowing me to visit.
Just wonderful! I am filled with calm and delight ..... loving the books and the birdcages ..... the collections and collages ..... the light streaming into each room. The collage in the sidebar (for the 3 day workshop)has stolen my heart. I wish, wish, wish I could attend!
Thank you very much for this walk through your wonderful rooms full of Beauty and...yes!..awareness.
I'm missing one book on your stack:
The "book of silence" which I discovered in one of your last posts. I love it from the first page! It's a remedy!
What a gorgeous room. I could sit in the window seat for hours.
Thank you Donna, for giving us a conducted stroll through your beautiful home, your collections, ammonites, birdcages, shells etc. to say nothing of all the lovely books. This has made my morning. Your two collages are, as ever, superb.
I'm with Leslie, do you provide a Japanese Tea Ceremony upon arrival?
So calm and serene looking. Love your collages too.
Hi Donna,

Thank you for the lovely and peaceful visit.
I love libraries and especially enjoyed the lovely virtual visit in yours. All the objects are so well placed and (obviously) well loved.
Good to see di Prima quote and find both the collages, but especially the second richly inspiring.
Hi Donna,
What a beautiful space; so serene. I love the new collages too. The one on at the top fits right in to the poem by Diane di Prima with its slight suggestion of landscape.
Beautiful room! I have a room that I would like to make into a library/office. Right now it is full of furniture and building supplies as I am still remodeling. This is inspiration for me to get the work done so I could have a peaceful place to read a book and sip some green tea. I also love your new pieces.
From Diane di Prima's words to your beautiful rooms and collections, one could easily find serene, beautiful silence...lovely!
These collages have such quiet beauty...I love the dot motif.
Beautiful objects, serene home, how do you keep it all so peaceful with a cat and a dog...
Love the stamps on your collage, that touch of red...

How I would love to join you in your sacred space of sweet serenity.
I'm right there with you Donna! Just the thought of sitting in that wonderful chair, in the window by the sun, looking out at the gorgeous trees and a special "cat friend", makes me happy! Love your collections!!
your home looks like a haven of tranquility I wish mine looked like that!
With a recent change in the flight patterned of our local county airport, the day has been unbelievably noisy. How I envy your lovely peaceful space. Thank you for sharing it!

I couldn't stay away for long...'walking' through these tranquil rooms and taking in the beauty of the work reminds me of the quote, "Art is like food, we need it."

Gorgeous gorgeous work and sublime studio...thanks for inviting us in! I hope that we can get together soon to talk about workshops, etc...
What a lovely soothing post. I need that tranquil tour as I ready myself for the movers to come in 2 hours. Ah.... a breath of fresh air, a cup of tea and of course the company of your art, you and Suki the cat! I am revived now!
Ooooohhhhh my! Thank you for offering us this moment of quiet and beauty. Eye candy and mind candy.
Thank you for visiting my blog - and YES - I am doing quite a bit of wax dipping and dreaming. Anything small seems to be in danger of a dip....
I love coming here in silence and each time I wanted to leave a poem as a small door note for you, still I did not find one worthy of this brilliant art which you presented,so it is a beautiful excuse for me to come again,:O)
Love to imagine that Im there and playing with pebbles and shelves, drinking my green tea, drawing the quite and sublime, preparing my self for a swim in that wonderful sea of happiness, probably playing with the Kobe and Suki too!Have a great day, love, light and peace,
