For Presence, For Peace and Joy

Awaken to the mystery of being here
and enter the quiet immensity of your own presence.

Have joy and peace in the temple of your senses.

Receive encouragement when new frontiers beckon.

Respond to the call of your gift and the courage to
follow its path.

Let the flame of anger free you of all falsity.

May warmth of heart keep your presence aflame.

May anxiety never linger about you.

May your outer dignity mirror an inner dignity of soul.

Take time to celebrate the quiet miracles that seek no attention.

Be consoled in the secret symmetry of your soul.

May you experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the
heart of wonder. -- John O'Donohue, For Presence

A wonderful and inspiring post, Donna. I must also note that you and I often think along the same lines. My Christmas posting is also a John O'Donohue blessing, specifically, the one titled "For Equilibrium." Merry Christmas to you and your family.

this is a beautiful passage by John O'Donohue made all the more beautiful by the delicious vignettes of your home. I am always amazed at how you manage to juxtapose Christmas and Japanese imagery so seamlessly.

Wishing you a peaceful, joyful season with many thanks for all that you offer to us, your blog readers over the year. I always know I can find a peaceful haven here.

I have needed to go back to your words over and over again, (as I often do) . The ones that stand out for me the most are about responding" to the call of your gift." And not to let anxiety linger...
I hope your winter is beautiful, I imagine the dark grays and blues of the sound beckoning your eyes to rest.
Wishing you beautiful holidays, Donna, thank you for all you share.

every image
each word
a feast
love
your poppy pods
dark chocolate craters
and
the light pale gray stems
gossamer poems
whispering
little rattles
secret seeds
waiting
to begin again
the pine cones
and
your work
so peaceful
so calm

wishing you
the happiest of new beginnings
may every day
be such a banquet...
